Mapping Jackson Purchase (1820)
CHAPTER CXX.
An ACT to authorize the printing and publishing a Map of the Lands west of the Tennessee River.
Approved by the Kentucky General Assembly on December 19, 1820.
SECTION I. BE it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, That William T. Henderson be, and he is hereby authorized to print and publish, at his own expense and costs, and for his own benefit, the map and survey of the land west of the Tennessee river, to which he may add any notes of explanation which to him shall be deemed necessary.
SECTION II. BE it further enacted, That the said Henderson shall have the exclusive right, so far as this commonwealth have the power to grant it, of publishing and vending the maps by him so made and printed, for the term of ten years.
