Goldenrod

 

The goldenrod is a yellow flowering plant and is known as the state flower of Kentucky. Goldenrods are used for a number of things including decorating, making tea, and even as tokens of good luck. Goldenrods bloom in late summer and early fall and produce abundant nectar flow when adequate moisture is present.
