We Need Your Help to Create a License Plate for Kentucky that Acknowledges Historic Preservation in the Commonwealth!

This group has been formed to promote the creation of and see to completion the development of a Kentucky special issue license plate that focuses on historic preservation in Kentucky. 

Other states (i.e. Georgia) have already created such plates and it serves not only as a way to promote awareness of historic preservation in Kentucky but also to generate funds to promote historic preservation in all of its forms on a statewide level. 

Nine hundred (900) potential applicants are needed to show a perceived interest and to allow for the creation of such a plate. (KRS 200 SB 157) At this point we simply would like the name(s) of those interested as well mailing addresses to generate an interest list and at a later date we will provide the appropriate application. If you have multiple cars in your household for which you would like license plates please indicate so. This basic information can be sent to eric.ky.plp@gmail.com and will not be made publicly available. If you know of other individuals or groups that are interested please forward this e-mail along.

Through this process and this group we hope to generate and show interest in the cause and also develop and choose a final design that will be used to show (through your license plate) that historic preservation is an important issue in Kentucky and is truly important to a wide variety of people.
