This website is a compilation of various Acts of the Virginia General Assembly and Kentucky General Assembly regarding the Land Office and other topics of historical significance.

The 1789 Compact with Virginia which was the precursor to Kentucky's statehood. A Constitutional Convention was ordained, state boundaries were set, debt was assumed, Virginia Land Patents in Kentucky would be honored, non-resident taxation was discussed, the Ohio River would remain open to the United States, and a commission would be appointed to resolve disputes after statehood.

Text of the 1778 Act of the Virginia General Assembly granting Judge Richard Henderson & Company 200,000 acres on the Ohio and Green Rivers as reimbursement for expenses incurred under the 1775 Sycamore Shoals Treaty with the Cherokee Indian Nation. The 200,000 acre tract could be settled by Henderson or his Company or the tract could be divided into parcels and sold; Henderson & Company would keep the proceeds. The city of Henderson, Kentucky, is part of Henderson's Special Land Grant.

The 1795 Act of the Kentucky General Assembly directing the Governor to correspond with the Governor of Virginia regarding the state boundary line; James Thompson and William Croghan were appointed to ascertain the head of Green River and survey the north east line of the military lands.
