More Than Just President, Congress, and Legislature on the Ballot

Some voters will have more decisions to make for election day on November 4, 2008.  A number of counties will see races for the unexpired terms of judicial offices and local offices, as well as some local referenda questions on their ballot, in addition to regularly scheduled elections.

 

“A large number of Kentucky voters will have races for unexpired terms and local referenda questions on the ballot when they head to the polls on November 4, 2008,” stated Secretary Grayson.  “Voters should prepare for this election by determining the races for which they are eligible to cast a ballot and by researching the candidates and local issues that will be on the ballot.” 

 

Voters can access sample ballots online or via their county clerk to determine which races will be on the ballot.

 

Most notably, a large number of judicial races will be on the ballot in 2008, including:

 

Supreme Court Justice –Third Supreme Court District

Vacancy effective: June 27, 2008
