Office of the Secretary of State to Consolidate Offices
The Office of the Secretary of State announced today that the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) branch office located at 363 Versailles Road in Frankfort, KY will be consolidated into other offices located at the Capitol Building. The new office will be located in RM 153 of the Capitol, marking the first time that all services of the Secretary of State will be located under the same roof in nearly five years.
“Recent improvements in technology allowed our office to transform into a 24 hour-a-day transaction center through our online services. This technology, along with typical attrition, enabled us to consolidate our operations into one office at the Capitol Building,” stated Secretary of State Trey Grayson. “These efficiencies plus the added benefit of more online services represent a win-win situation for the citizens of Kentucky.”
The UCC branch will close its operations at the Versailles Road location at 4:30 p.m. on June 13, 2005 and will reopen at the Capitol Building with normal business hours on June 15th. All online services as well as other branches of the Office of the Secretary of State will remain operational during that time. To file a UCC on the 14th, the online filing service can be accessed at: http://sos.ky.gov/business/ucc/online/.
