Secretary of State Trey Grayson recently announced the appointment of Louisville native Tracy Goff Herman to serve as the Director of Corporations for the office of the Secretary of State. Tracy had previously served as the Assistant Director of Government Relations for the Kentucky School Boards Association.
“Secretary Grayson has exciting plans for improving how businesses interact with the state of Kentucky,” said Herman. “I am excited to be working with him to bring greater prosperity to the Commonwealth.”
Tracy Goff Herman graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Political Science, where she was a UK honors program graduate. She also attained a Masters of Arts from the University of Louisville, also in Political Science.
Upon completion of graduate school, she worked for CSG, a non-profit organization responsible for research and analysis of state legislative and executive branch policies. She then joined County Judge Executive Rebecca Jackson’s office and led Jackson’s successful campaign to merge city and county governments.
“We are extremely pleased to have Tracy come onboard with our administration. Her experience and abilities are exemplary and will be extremely useful as we will make Kentucky a more business-friendly state,” stated Secretary Grayson. “Together we will provide a fertile ground for small business growth by removing barriers that hinder their success.”
