Owensboro Native Appointed by Secretary of State

Secretary of State Trey Grayson recently announced the appointment of Owensboro native J. Allen Eskridge to serve as the Assistant Secretary of State. Allen had previously served as a policy and budget analyst for the Office of State Budget Director Governor’s Office for Policy and Management.
“Secretary Grayson has laid out an extensive agenda for Kentucky’s future that will make Kentucky more business friendly, return civics education to our high school curriculums, and restore fair and honest elections,” said Eskridge. “I am honored to serve beside Secretary Grayson as we work to serve the citizens of the Commonwealth in the most effective and efficient way possible. ”
J. Allen Eskridge graduated from Owensboro High School and from Transylvania University where he attained a Bachelor’s of Arts in History with a minor in Political Science. He also received a Masters of Arts in Public Administration from the University of Kentucky. Afterwards, Eskridge began pursing a graduate degree from the University of Kentucky. He plans to complete the degree while working for Secretary Grayson. He currently resides in Lexington with his wife, Randa Remer-Eskridge.
“I am excited to have Allen serve as my Assistant Secretary of State. His experience in state government and in policy development will prove invaluable for our office,” stated Secretary Grayson. “I look forward to working with him in our effort to renew Kentucky’s prosperity.”
