Secretary of State's Office Closed July 4th in Observance of Independence Day
The Secretary of State’s office will be closed Wednesday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day. The office will reopen for normal business hours, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., EST, on Thursday, July 5.
“As we celebrate the 236th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, I encourage all Kentuckians to remember how fortunate we are to live in a nation where all men and women are equal and our unalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are assured,” said Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes. “I am grateful to our predecessors who established this strong foundation for the United States and to the men and women of our military who dedicate their lives to protecting it.”
