Pursuant to KRS 117.383, the Secretary of State is required after all elections to randomly select one (1) ballot scanner and one (1) race tabulated on that scanner for a hand-to-eye recount for each county of the Commonwealth. A random selection was conducted for each county and the selections are indicated here.

Uniform Commercial Code

​​​​Beginning August 15, 2021, the Secretary of State will email the acknowledgement of all UCC Filings submitted by paper form when an email address is provided in Box B on the form. 

​The Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) division of the Secretary of State's office serves as the state repository for financing statements regarding security interests under Kentucky Revised Statutes Chapter 355, Revised Article 9. Financing statements are filed by banks, mortgage companies and other lending institutions against secured collateral of individuals and other entities located within the state.

Through this website, you can file most types of simple UCC-1 and UCC-3 filings, obtain standardized forms, search for UCC filings, check the status of your prepaid account and subscribe to the Secretary of State's bulk data service. You can also research pertinent fees and statutes.
