The Secretary of State is charged with keeping the Seal of the Commonwealth, which is used to attest all official acts of the Governor, and a seal of the office, which is used by the Secretary as notary public for the Commonwealth to attest his/her own official Acts and Certifications. Because both seals are used to attest official acts only, they may not be used for commercial purposes.
